Partnerships

The Necanicum Watershed Council is dedicated to nurturing relationships with our core partners. Below are active partnerships that the Council leads or participates in.

Chinook Necanicum Climate Collaborative

The Necanicum Watershed Council and Chinook Indian Nation are developing a best-practices model for partnerships between community-based conservation organizations and local tribal interests. Find more information on this partnership at the Chinook Indian Nation page of our website.

North Coast Watersheds Partnership

The North Coast Watersheds Partnership is a group of six organizations: the Lower Nehalem Watershed Council, Upper Nehalem Watershed Council, North Coast Watershed Association, Nestucca, Neskowin and Sand Lake Watershed Council, Necanicum Watershed Council and Tillamook Estuaries Partnership. Operating under a mutually developed Memorandum of Agreement, this partnership aims to increase the reach, effectiveness and capacity of watershed restoration organizations on the north coast of Oregon.

Días del Salmon

The Necanicum Watershed Council and Consejo Hispano are working to build a sense of place and belonging for the Necanicum Basin’s Latinx community in the watershed restoration conservation. By increasing the capacity of the Necanicum Watershed Council and Consejo Hispano to tackle Spanish-only or bilingual programming and engagement opportunities, Días del Salmon aims to ensure that our Spanish-speaking community is properly engaged in nature-based solution work.

Columbia Pacific Pollinator Collaborative

One of many conservation and habitat restoration groups collaboratively and collectively addressing the investment in pollinator habitat, most notably the Clatsop Plains, for the Oregon Silverspot Butterfly and other critical coastal pollinators.
